However, Perkin Elmer brought the significance of the Corporate Cup spirit to a whole new level this year with their special effort on behalf of the Campaign for Breast Wellness at Griffin Hospital (the name sponsor and major host for the Corporate Cup). Perkin Elmer employee Licia Martinucci-Marsh suggested to her peers that they turn the June 6 Road Race and Walk into something more than just a Corporate Cup event. She suggested that they also use it to raise funds for the planned Breast Wellness Center at Griffin. With only two weeks to prepare, they raised over $3,700 for the effort in spite of the miserable weather on the night of the race that made participation a real challenge.

Connie Evans, Pat Tarasovic, Marge Deegan, Licia Martinucci-Marsh and Fred Rubino are all smiles as the result of Perkin Elmer's generous donation to Griffin Hospital.

Geraint Phillips, Vice President, Global Operations of PerkinElmer’s Analytical Sciences and Laboratory Services Division and the winner in this year's Orienteering event with his wife, thanked the employees for their involvement with the Corporate Cup and all of the other community events in which Perkin Elmer is involved.
