Health Net Campaign the year's first - exceeds goal!
Health Net employees not only raised funds, but an incredible amount of food to build Harvest House II - Click here for more photos from their amazing drive. Employees at Health Net have once again demonstrated their leadership in the community by conducting another very successful employee campaign that combined a lot of effort and fun! Though all the results are not yet final, the campaign has raised more than $80,000 easily exceeding its goal of $70,000. Valley United Way recently conducted an employee campaign at Health Net in Shelton and Cindy Troxler, the VP of Call and Claims Operations was on hand to announce their goal of $70,000 and to testify how contributions to the Valley United Way are an investment in the community. Todd Kipperman of 'Safe Home' spoke about his agency being a HOME not a HOUSE. "A house is something you see as you drive down the street. A home is a place that is comfortable where love, care and compassion are abound." In the home live 12 children, infant to 12 years, victims of abuse and neglect. With the United Way's assistance, his staff provides 24 hour residential care and comprehensive clinical evaluations for these children. Patricia Tarasovic, Director of the Volunteer Center, spoke of the upcoming Harvest House II and the fact that HealthNet was the leading donor in Harvest House I, of non-perishable foods with 14,000 items. In addition, to help reach their goal, Health Net has a full calendar of events slated for the next five weeks including Bingo games, popcorn sales, and theme basket raffles. We want to thank Cindy, Debbie Lewis and Debbie Noack for the outstanding job they did setting up the campaign!
