Griffin Health Services is the winner of the 1997 Community Corporate Cup, a presentation of Valley United Way and the Valley YMCA. For the fourth straight year, Griffin walked away with the Cup in this annual community event which promotes health, employee morale and community spirit at the same time. Griffin was presented the award at the Annual Awards Reception held at Griffin Hospital on June 16. In taking the title, Griffin finish 6.5 points ahead of runners-up Birmingham Group Health Services which had captured three straight Small Division Titles prior to this year's one division setup. Gordon Rubber posted its best finish ever with a third place finish ahead of fourth place Prudential Relocation. The W.E. Bassett Company rounded out the top five.

	Healthy Team March thru June Two member teams are tested before and after the start of the Cup series for cholesterol, blood pressure, weight, body fat, etc. During the course of the Cup series, they earn points for healthy activities and for improvements in the tested factors. *Participants are allowed free access to the YMCA during the series.* Special highlights this year include a series of "healthy meals" with cooking demonstrations and mini-nutrition lectures, stress management sessions and a comprehensive health risk assessment. Free to all Cup participants, not just Healthy Team participants.	Suburban Health Plan
	Bowling Saturday, March 22 Click Here for Results A non-handicapped event for teams of four bowlers. Total pin fall for three games determines the winner.
	Corporate Hoops Saturday & Sunday - April 12 & 13 A 3-on-3 tourney. Your roster may include one substitute. As an added bonus, bring all your foul shooters and three point shooters along for a real shoot-out.
	Darts Wednesday, April 23 New for 1997! A competition for teams of two. All boards and darts are provided by the YMCA, and all scoring will be done electronically.
	Volleyball Saturday & Sunday - May 3 & 4 A co-ed event. Your team must have at least two women on the court at all times!
	Horseshoes Wednesday, May 21 You don't need to be a "ringer" to enjoy this classic game. Teams of two compete on some of the nicest "pits" in New England.
	Mini-golf Wednesday, June 4 Get your foursome ready for a "mini" challenge of your putting skills.
